Getting started with Maple is easy

Step 1 - Initial communication

Get to know Maple better by speaking with a member of our clinical team. We want to learn more about you, ensure that you understand how Maple works, and the legalities of telemedicine. This is also a great opportunity to ask your own questions to make sure telemedicine through Maple is a good fit for your lifestyle.

Step 2 - Maple Training Academy

We recognize that not all providers have experience with telemedicine. That’s why we’ve created Maple Training Academy — a set of training modules and tests, tailored to help providers understand the Maple platform and the legalities of telemedicine (how to practice, what you are required to do, etc.) before you begin taking consultations on Maple.

This proprietary telemedicine training will also help you choose how to complement your in-person practice with virtual care, adding flexibility for both you and your patients.

Step 3 - Documents

We’ll verify your license, malpractice insurance, and collect necessary documents to get you set up in the Maple system!

Step 4 - Live simulation

Familiarize yourself with the Maple platform by doing a simulated consultation with our clinical team.

Step 5 - Activation

You’re ready to be activated on the Maple platform! You can see patients on your phone, tablet, or computer. You’ll also gain access to our Maple Provider Forum, as well as guidelines from the Maple Provider group’s independent Medical Advisory Committee.

Join the Maple community of healthcare providers

After completing the onboarding process, you’ll be invited to join our Maple Provider Forum — an online group created to help you provide the best care on Maple.

Calendar

Maple fits into your life, not the other way around

With Maple, you make your own schedule. We don’t enforce a minimum amount of consults per month or schedule shifts, allowing you to take as few or as many consultations as you want. Just turn your notifications on when you want to see patients, and turn them off when you want down time.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are Maple providers considered employees of Maple?

No. Maple is a technology company, acting as a connector between people and providers. As such, Maple does not employ healthcare providers — you’re simply third-party service providers using Maple as a platform to see patients.

Is equipment provided by Maple?

No. Our Maple provider app works on any computer with a webcam and either Google Chrome or Firefox browsers, or on any iOS mobile device, allowing you to use your existing devices to conduct online consults.

Is there a rating system for providers?

There is a private rating system that is only seen by Maple for the purpose of maintaining customer service standards. Providers who fail to provide adequate and consistent patient experiences may lose the privilege to use Maple. Our feedback system exists to build a community of trust, professionalism, and respect for everyone.

What is the onboarding process like for providers on Maple?

Our process begins with an initial discussion with our clinical team. We want to ensure that you understand how Maple works, as well as the nuances of telemedicine for providers. You’ll also have the chance to ask any outstanding questions before you continue with onboarding.

Next, we’ll move you on to Maple’s proprietary training system which includes educational modules, tests, and live simulations. During your onboarding process, we’ll also perform several vetting procedures, and collect documentation to ensure you meet Maple’s telehealth provider criteria.
